5Awesome results! Must have for the 6.0 diesel.
By Manda&Chris
I purchased this kit to install on my 2003 F-250 that had a failing oil cooler. The truck was untouched for 140,000 miles with never a problem, until the oil temps started shooting up. Installed this kit before I flushed the system to remove any free roaming particles that may have been in the system. The filter was packed within days. Wish this kit was installed way earlier, could have prevented my problem all together. I am about to flush the system with vc9, which is the chemical that is used in the ford flush process. This can cause to much particulate like rust and silicate residue to "break loose" and plug the oil cooler. Hopefully this kit will catch the junk and not cause a complete blockage. Either way I am replacing the cooler, but would like to know if this can help solve the dangerous flush process. I will update the review after doing the flush and oil cooler to let everyone know how it worked to keep the new oil cooler safe and clog free. Now just need to get one for my 7.3!

5Highly recommended
By Nato
I highly recommend this for peace of mind on a powerstroke 6.0. Installation took maybe 30 minutes tops. You may lose a little coolant, but i did mine during an oil cooler/EGR delete so the coolant was already drained and the system flushed. Hose clamps for the return to reservoir line were too big in diameter, so I swapped them with smaller ones and it eliminated the small leak I originally had (due to uneven tightness around the entire hose).

5Easy to install
By Marco
This was the easiest install on bullet proofing my F 350 6.0 diesel 2006 year model. It started working right away and filtered just like Sinister said it would. There is only one issue if you install this yourself, my truck has a somewhat rare control valve on the hose I had to splice into. If you do it yourself make sure you cut and splice in front of the valve or it will not flow. You have to remove the charge tube to access this part of the hose. You do have to drain 1.5 gallons of the coolant before splicing as the coolant will spill into the charge tube opening if you do not drain it. Other than that I'd like to add I am surprised at the very high quality of the kit, this will be around a long long time. Pleased.
